Division Convention

 The Saltville Home Guard Camp 2098 is pleased to welcome you back to beautiful Bristol, Virginia, for the 2026 Virginia Division Reunion and Convention. We are delighted to have you join us once again for what promises to be a wonderful weekend.

We are honored to have Dr. Lucas Wilder (also known for his portrayal of J.E.B. Stuart) presenting a special lunch program on General Stuart and Southwest Virginia. Dr. Wilder is traveling from Ewing, VA, and we are certain everyone will enjoy his presentation.

We are also privileged to welcome award-winning author and historian Michael C. Hardy as our keynote speaker following the banquet. Michael has written numerous books on the War Between the States, many focusing on the Army of Northern Virginia. His latest work,  Feeding Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia, tackles a subject that few historians have attempted. We are confident you will both enjoy and learn from his talk.

We are doing things a bit differently this year. There will NOT be a commanders’ reception. Dinner on Friday, April 17, will be on your own. However, we will host a social time with an open cash bar, a guest speaker, and live entertainment. Breakfast will also be on your own this year, and there are numerous dining options within five minutes of the hotel.

We are delighted to return to the Delta by Marriott, where the wonderful staff remarked on how much they enjoyed having our group last time. As with everything these days, prices have increased slightly, but we have worked hard with the hotel to keep costs as reasonable as possible. Please be sure to use the booking codes provided on the registration form when making your reservations and enter the codes in the correct fields. Also, please take note of all deadlines for registrations, ads, ancestor memorials, and vendor applications.
